Margot Ellis’ Americans in Paris Lecture, Book Signing and Drawing Exhibit in New Orleans and Baton Rouge

Ellis spoke on her book Americans in Paris which documents the stories and works of American architects who attended the famed École de Beaux-Arts in Paris. Original Ecole de Beaux Arts student drawings, part of Ms. Ellis’ personal collection that she acquired from the late Jean Paul Carlhian, was on display during the event.The book also details the architects’ return to America and their success in designing grand buildings and monuments still recognized today.
